Kia is recalling 137,256 Seltos and Soul vehicles because of an issue with the piston oil rings. Documents posted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration say the problem can cause a loss of motive power or in rare cases, a fire.

Kia recalled more than 137,200 Seltos and Souls because of an issue with their engines. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said the piston oil rings may have been made incorrectly and could damage the engine. The damage can make the engine stall or catch fire.

The NHTSA recently announced recalls for nearly 300,000 vehicles from automakers Mercedes, Audi, Genisis and more.
