SUNRISE, Fla. -- Jesper Bratt scored his second NHL hat trick, and the New Jersey Devils defeated the Florida Panthers for the second time in three days, 6-2 at Amerant Bank Arena on Thursday.

The Florida Panthers took one on the chin this week from the New Jersey Devils. After getting dropped by the Devils 4-1 on Tuesday night, Florida came back and found a similar effort on Thursday, falling 6-2 to New Jersey. For the second straight game, it was Devils jumping out to a first period lead on the Cats.

In the first five minutes of the second period, right off a faceoff win for the Panthers, Sam Reinhart’s shot from the dot beat Jake Allen far side to tie the game, 2-2. As they have done multiple times throughout the season, New Jersey responded to their opponents goal with multiple strong shifts.
