Some cans mislabeled as Celsius Astro Vibe Sparkling Blue Razz Edition, a non-alcoholic energy drink, actually contain vodka and were included in High Noon’s Beach Variety 12-packs. High Noon said it initiated a recall of the variety packs after it discovered that a shared packaging supplier mistakenly shipped empty Celsius cans to High Noon.

The recalled 12-packs, which were mislabeled as Celsius energy drinks, were sent to eight states between July 21 and July 23.

Empty Celsius Astro Vibe Sparkling Blue Razz cans were mistakenly shipped to High Noon and filled with the company’s vodka seltzer, the FDA says.

Listeria monocytogenes is known to cause listeriosis, a foodborne illness particularly dangerous for vulnerable populations like young children, the elderly, and pregnant women. Healthy people typically experience short-term ailments such as fever, headaches and diarrhea, but the infection can be deadly in people with compromised immune systems.
