Adventureland Inn shuts doors after 50 years

ALTOONA, Iowa — Adventureland Inn is permanently closing, the resort announced Wednesday. The hotel opened in 1973, a year before the theme park opened, but will now be converted into employee housing. In November 2024, Adventureland announced the inn would be closed in the off-season.
