Fans poured into Progressive Field Tuesday morning ahead of the Cleveland Guardians‘ first game of the American League Wild Card Series against the Detroit Tigers.
The Chicago Cubs are back in the playoffs for the first time since 2020. Game 1 of Major League Baseball’s Wild Card brought fans to Wrigleyville Tuesday afternoon. And they got to see the Cubs beat the San Diego Padres 3-1.
“That’s one of the reasons why we chose to renovate vs. trying to build a new ballpark,” texted Brian Barren, Guardians president of business. “We wanted the renovations to adapt to the changing needs of a new generation of fans with things like standing room only spaces with local food and beverage options the fans of Cleveland enjoy.”
For the third year running, Major League Baseball drew bigger crowds, with 2025 marking another attendance milestone.
