The second-seeded Spartans made an early exit from the Southern Conference men's basketball tournament on Saturday, losing 64-57 to seventh-seeded VMI. UNCG (20-12) trailed by as many as 11 in the first half and could only narrow the deficit to 28-19 at halftime. It shot 10-for-24 from the field in the first 20 minutes. That was the good news.

Led by Rickey Bradley, Jr.'s 23 points, the VMI Keydets defeated the UNC Greensboro Spartans 64-57 in the Southern Conference Tournament on Saturday
