The Rockies drafted Ethan Holliday, the 18-year-old son of former Rockies star outfielder Matt Holliday, with the 4th overall pick in the first round of the Major League Baseball draft on Sunday.

Thomas Harding of MLB.com reported that senior director of scouting operations Marc Gustafson gave insight into the selection, and pointed to Holliday's raw physical traits like power that can only stand to massively develop for the 18-year-old.

Oklahoma high school baseball was front and center during the MLB Draft on Sunday, with two of the top four picks coming from the Sooner State.

The St. Louis Cardinals likely won't get a chance at Ethan Holliday in the MLB Draft, but that could be a blessing, and Matt Holliday knows it.
