Former Haas team principal Guenther Steiner has revealed when Max Verstappen could part ways with Red Bull Racing.

It is believed that if Verstappen is outside the top four in the Drivers’ Championship going into the summer break after the Hungarian Grand Prix, he would be free to trigger an exit clause, though Red Bull are in a strong position based on that information, as Charles Leclerc – currently fifth – is 46 points behind Verstappen.

There’s been plenty of discussion lately about Max Verstappen’s future with Red Bull, especially with how things have played out for the team recently. After Red Bull won all but one race in 2023, Verstappen opened 2024 with back-to-back wins and looked set for a fourth straight title.
