Here's how Vanderbilt baseball's new assistant coaches, Jayson King and Ty Blankmeyer, are looking to help lead the program back to glory.

With the start of the signing period Wednesday, Vanderbilt baseball is welcoming its 2025 recruiting class. This class has gone through a lot of upheaval. Once one of the top classes in the country, several players have decommitted over the past few months.

Napper committed in May 2023, the only player in the class to commit before the rules change. The 5-11, 195-pound lefty is a two-sport athlete who also plays basketball. At Grace Christian, he was a teammate of current Vanderbilt player Hudson Barton.

After adding Ravenwood's Michael Holt on Wednesday, Bland, a 6-foot-3, 225-pound first baseman in the class of 2026, announced his commitment on social media Thursday. Bland was one of three sophomores on Houston's varsity team in 2024. He hit .386 with 10 doubles, five triples and six home runs.
