It looks like Juan Soto is already proving he’s worth every penny, launching a home run during a recent spring training game against the Houston Astros. Juan Soto is the most valuable player on the New York Mets’ roster—at least when it comes to salary—and he recently gave a glimpse of what his future with the team could look like.

New York Mets superstar Juan Soto blasted a 426-foot home run in his first spring training at-bat with the team after signing a record contract in the offseason.

Soto homered off of Houston Astros pitcher Colton Gordon during the bottom of the first inning, giving him the first home run of his time with the Mets. “Get used to it,” the team account shared on social media after Soto homered.

Juan Soto will make his Mets spring training debut Saturday, when they open their exhibition schedule by hosting the Astros. Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso also will play, Carlos Mendoza said.
