Russia views the resolution on the conflict in Ukraine adopted by the UN Security Council as a starting point for further efforts to peacefully settle the crisis, the country's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya said.

Two resolutions were tabled for voting in the UNGA against 'Russian aggression in Ukraine' where the US voted against one while abstaining on its own draft after it was amended. The same original draft was taken to UNSC where it was adopted.
