Michigan State football dropped their eighth consecutive game last Saturday, falling on the road to Iowa, 20-17. The Spartans dominated for the majority of the game, until a brutal fourth quarter let a double digit lead slip away, where the Hawkeyes found a way to pull the game out.
Mark Gronowski rallied the troops just in time. After a Stevens field goal early in the fourth brought Iowa within a touchdown, Gronowski hit Jacob Gill for a 13-yard score in the back corner of the north end zone with 1:29 left. Following another defensive stop, the Hawkeyes got the ball back with 41 seconds left and went to work.
