A flood watch was issued for south-central Pennsylvania from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday after severe thunderstorms swept through the region, with additional rain in the forecast.

The worst of the heavy rain and flash flooding is expected to slam Monday's morning commute between 4 a.m. and 10 a.m.
Flood watches are in effect across much of New York, with the greatest threat concentrated in the southern portions of the state, where multiple rounds of heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected from Sunday afternoon through Monday night.
