Trump reached a $16 million settlement with Paramount after suing CBS News over a “60 Minutes” interview with Kamala Harris.
Paramount Global has settled its suit with President Trump, ending the president’s $20 billion election interference lawsuit over CBS News' handling of a "60 Minutes" interview last year.
The Federal Communications Commission approved the sale of Paramount Global after the buyer made pledges to showcase a diversity of viewpoints and root out alleged bias in CBS' news coverage.

The FCC, under newly installed Republican Chairman Brendan Carr, was fully aware of the issues in the legal conflict between Trump and CBS at the time Paramount needed FCC approval for the license transfers. Without a settlement, the Paramount-Skydance deal remained in jeopardy.
Not everyone is thrilled that Paramount Global and CBS agreed on Tuesday to settle President Trump’s $20 billion election interference lawsuit against the network.
The move in Washington comes after Paramount agreed to pay $16 million, mostly to Trump's presidential library, to settle the president's personal lawsuit over '60 Minutes' edits. In May, Qatar donated a $400-million jetliner.
