Chicago Sky star Angel Reese missed her first game of the season against the Atlanta Dream with a leg injury on Wednesday at Wintrust Arena.

The Chicago Sky have ruled out Angel Reese and Ariel Atkins for Wednesday's game against the Atlanta Dream with leg injuries.

Sky forward Angel Reese will not play in Wednesday afternoon's game against the Atlanta Dream due to a leg injury.

Five players for the Dream finished in double digits in scoring. Veteran All-Star center Brittney Griner led the team with 15 points and five rebounds on 75% shooting in less than 20 minutes. Allisha Gray added 14 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

Both the Chicago Sky and Atlanta Dream enter this Eastern Conference clash with injury concerns, rotation questions and uneven production at the guard position.

Brittney Griner scored 15 points, Brionna Jones and Allisha Gray each added 14 points, and the Atlanta Dream cruised past the Chicago Sky 86-49 on Wednesday. Atlanta opened the third quarter on a 14-0 run and closed the frame with a 74-36 lead.

The Atlanta Dream are playing without injured All-Star Rhyne Howard and could use a boost Wednesday afternoon against the host Chicago Sky.
