The two surviving dogs belonging to actor Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa "are safe and adjusting" after the couple was mysteriously found dead.

Gene Hackman, 95, and his wife, Betsy, 64, were discovered dead in their Santa Fe home on Feb. 26. Police also had said their German Shepherd was found 15 to 20 feet away from Betsy, while two other dogs were found alive.

One discrepancy in the death of actor Gene Hackman, wife Betsy Arakawa and one of their three beloved dogs has been resolved after authorities mistakenly identified the deceased dog as a German shepherd.
