The Houston Texans have officially ruled out three starters for their Week 11 matchup vs. the Tennessee Titans. According to Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans, quarterback C.J. Stroud (concussion), nickel Jalen Pitre (concussion), and kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn (quad) have all been ruled out vs. Tennessee.

The Texans will start Davis Mills at quarterback on Sunday against the Titans. Usual starter C.J. Stroud remains in the concussion protocol and will miss his second consecutive game due to the injury.

The absence casts doubt on Stroud's status for a second straight week. He missed Houston's 36-29 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday after being concussed against the Denver Broncos the week before. Stroud was ruled out early in the week by head coach DeMeco Ryans and did not participate in a single practice before the Jaguars game.

The Houston Texans got a bit of good news on Thursday along with making a final decision about their quarterback situation.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are still in the playoff race, but they have to bounce back from their devastating loss to the Houston Texans in Week 10.
