Houston quarterback C.J. Stroud is still recovering from a concussion and will miss a second straight game Sunday when the Texans visit the Tennessee Titans.
The Texans have ruled quarterback C.J. Stroud out for Sunday's matchup against the Titans, coach DeMeco Ryans announced Thursday.
The Texans will start Davis Mills at quarterback on Sunday against the Titans. Usual starter C.J. Stroud remains in the concussion protocol and will miss his second consecutive game due to the injury.
The absence casts doubt on Stroud's status for a second straight week. He missed Houston's 36-29 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday after being concussed against the Denver Broncos the week before. Stroud was ruled out early in the week by head coach DeMeco Ryans and did not participate in a single practice before the Jaguars game.
