The Rockies (6-25) got that run back in the top of the third inning. After shortstop Alan Trejo doubled to left field, center fielder Brenton Doyle singled, driving a hanging curveball to left to score Trejo for his 15th RBI of the season.

Justin Verlander does not yet have a win with the San Francisco Giants, but for the second outing in a row, he did enough to claim one. Verlander went six innings and allowed two runs Friday night, but the Giants’ lineup got just one man past first base in his six innings,

Jordan Beck hit a tying double in the eighth inning and Hunter Goodman singled home the go-ahead run two batters later as the Colorado Rockies rallied past San Francisco 4-3 on Thursday night to deny Justin Verlander his first win with the Giants.
