The Kia PV5 electric van is a showcase of what electrification can do
An electric van, like electric cars, has inherent advantages over ICE vehicles. EVs have more freedom in where the batteries and motors can be positioned versus traditional engines, axles, and transmissions. And Kia has used this to the PV5’s advantage.

Kia hasn’t released full specs but with the EV3 sitting at 4,300 mm long, the EV2 is expected to be around 3,800 mm, or slightly smaller than the Hyundai Inster EV (3,825 mm). The EV1 will be even more compact at around 3,600 mm, or about the size of the Kia Picanto.

The super-compact EV2 concept has a lot going for it: city dimensions, coach doors, and high-tech seats. However, the EV2 is not headed to America, at least for now. The same goes for the modular PV5, which is part of Kia's PBV (platform beyond vehicle) platform. Kia boss Ho Sung Song offered some hints that this could change in the future.
