Fernando Dutra of Whittier will serve a yearlong term as chair of L.A. Metro’s Board of Directors. His term began Wednesday.

Whittier City Councilman Fernando Dutra received the board gavel from Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn during Metro’s annual State of the Agency address at Union Station.
