Netflix gave an otherwise slow week of NFL news a kick in the tuchus, thanks to podcast-interview comments from its chief content office Bela Bajaria.

Netflix has called an audible and now plans to pursue a Sunday NFL package following its successful Christmas Day debut last season. Bela Bajaria, the chief content officer for the streaming giant, confirmed the strategy shift on a recent episode of "The Town" podcast.

Netflix’s chief content officer Bela Bejaria told Puck News the company hopes to build its NFL game schedule by vying for the Sunday afternoon games: “I definitely want the Sunday [afternoon] games,” she said.
