Sep 14, 2024 · Linux Mint 22 Xfce edition - 840 MB as reported by htop I did not test the MATE edition of Linux Mint 22 but it should be slightly more than Xfce but less than Cinnamon. I did run the MATE edition of Linux Mint 21 in the past but found it buggy - the start menu icons disappeared or did not work properly.

Jul 27, 2024 · Still can't boot a Mint 22 live usb so tried an upgrade from 21 instead. I don't like to upgrade after using a system for a long time so decided to backup, do a fresh install of 21.3 then immediately upgrade to 22.

Sep 25, 2021 · I tried turning off vertical sync for Linux Mint Cinnamon. Set vertical sync to "None" in System Settings-General. This seems to be the place to set Muffin, the window manager of the desktop environment Cinnamon.
