On January 8, 1998, WCW launched a second wrestling show, WCW Thunder. It aired on TBS Superstation (now known as TBS) on Thursday nights at 8:00 PM. On January 12, 2000, after they lost the war against WWF Smackdown!, WCW Thunder was moved from Thursday to Wednesday nights.

WCW Thunder, or simply Thunder, is an American professional wrestling show produced by World Championship Wrestling (WCW) which aired on TBS Superstation from January 8, 1998 to March 21, 2001. The popularity of WCW in 1996 and 1997 allowed for the creation of a new show, which became WCW Thunder.

Apr 5, 2019 · The new WCW logo (and, in many uses, the TBS logo) are added to Thunder's logo. Monday Nitro and Saturday Night get new logos, and Worldwide 's logo is changed slightly to incorporate the new WCW logo.
