If we’re going off pure talent, I can definitely see why he would be in the NBA top 75, but if we’re going off his body of work or accolades I just can’t see why he would have gotten the nod over someone like Dwight Howard who’s resume is more decorated than Dame’s by a vast majority..

Sep 24, 2023 · Lillard isn't even a better player than Cliff Robinson. If basketball players only needed to play offense, Lillard could be ranked much higher, maybe even at the top. But basketball players are responsible for playing both offense and defense, and Lillard simply can't do it. Drexler, Sabonis and Walton are all miles ahead of Lillard.

Apr 6, 2024 · I loved the Spurs. But no way is Tony Parker a more deserving player to make the Top 75 compared to Lillard. Lillard is absolutely a better player. Crazy how much playing for the best franchise, with the best roster, and the best coach, along with a top 5 player over a 20 year span causes the entire team to be a little overrated.

This recent list isn’t really top 75, it’s top 25 since the top 50 list was made. So with an obvious snub like Howard, other more recent guys like AD and Lillard with worse resumes than say Giannis or Kawhi (two guys who don’t have much longevity yet but have peaked pretty high so far) stand out more.

Jan 16, 2023 · Damian has the individual success, because he’s been the only star on his team for a majority of his career. Is it hard for a star to put up numbers as the only option? People like you are backwards. You want to give Lillard a pass because he has a bad team but want to give him props for putting up numbers. They go hand-in-hand.

Feb 22, 2023 · The other big part of it is that Lillard lives and breathes Portland. Drexler played here. Lillard embodied here. Drexler would've left Portland years ago if he was in the same situation as Lillard. Drexler probably was a better player than Lillard, but Lillard feels more connected to the city.
