We got another one from the Alan Lomax archive this week. Here’s R.L. Burnside performing his original, “See My Jumper Hanging on the Line.” This performance was recorded in Independence, Mississippi by Alan Lomax, Worth Long, and John Bishop in August of 1978. Burnside led quite an interesting life. Born in 1926, he grew up in a family of sharecroppers before moving to Chicago in his early twenties.
