⚾️On April 8, 1969 the Montreal Expos played their first game in franchise history, taking on the Mets at Shea Stadium. It marked the first international game in MLB history. The first hit and first extra-base hit in Expos franchise history belongs to Bob Bailey, who doubled in the first inning. ⚾️On May 10, 1981 Montreal Expos hurler Charlie Lea no-hits the San Francisco Giants, 4-0, in the second game of a double-header and became the first French-born pitcher to accomplish the feat. The 24-year-old right-hander was born in Orleans, France. He was one of only three Expos to throw a no-hitter, the others being Bill Stoneman, twice, in 1969 and 1972, and Dennis Martínez, who pitched a perfect game in 1991.⚾️ | Davenport Sports Network
