Twycross Zoo have named Britain’s only baby bonobo ‘Biso’ after confirming the recent arrival is a male. The September birth was part of a coordinated conservation programme for the endangered species, and was mum Yuli’s first offspring. Four-month-old bonobo Biso and his mother have been pictured in the bonobo enclosure at Twycross Zoo, Leicestershire. The Zoo is the only facility in the UK to care for and breed bonobos, which are part of the great ape family and are our closest living relative
