Good morning guys, This is how simple it is to germinate acorns. I leave them like this over winter not letting them dry out, then I would try and keep them covered with something also like a fine mesh to stop any birds digging them up over winter. Come spring I'll check and see which ones have germinated and will pot them up in their own individual pots. I've been doing it this way for years and works perfect for me.
