The independent elective course in the M.Phil. in Art and Design provides an opportunity to students, specifically those in their senior year, to explore and pursue specific interests in studio practice or a theoretical study of art and design, working independently with an advisor. This semester, Professor Emeritus Shehnaz Ismail has been advising graduate student, Sana Naqvi, in the independent study elective for her research about local textiles and crafts, specifically block printing.
