#BoySingerSunday - #GordonMacRae in my humble opinion is one of the lesser appreciated boy singers of his generation. He is of course remembered for his roles in the film adaptations of "Oklahoma!" and "Carousel" as well as his film series with #DorisDay however his beautiful and controled vocal presence is something of note. #GirlSingerSatuday - Helen Merrill was one of the first "jazz singers" to emerge in the 1950's famed, bebop era. She had enormous success with her first 5 albums, working with some of the titans of jazz. During the 1960s and 70s, she became the toast of Europe and Asia, specifically Japan where she contiunes to play regularly. However she largely faded into obscurity here in the states before mounting a major comeback in the 1990s with the help of a contract through Verve Records. She has a sens
